Behind the scenes, a dedicated network of people are working hard every day to keep Stockton Town Centre safe, welcoming, and thriving. From managing retail spaces to supporting businesses and ensuring the environment is clean and safe, these are the key contacts driving Stockton forward.
Wellington Square:
Wellington Square is managed by an onsite team who look after the shopping centre’s daily operations while also playing an important role in the wider town centre.
Centre Manager, Matt Boxall, oversees lettings, tenant relationships, and strategic development. Under his leadership, Wellington Square has continued to perform strongly despite wider national challenges. Claire Hardy serves as Centre Administration Manager, overseeing invoicing, health and safety, and permits, while also supporting retailer and tenant liaison. Kate McQuade is the Marketing, Communications and Community Coordinator, responsible for delivering events, managing social media, driving community engagement, and coordinating all communications on behalf of the scheme.
New retailers are joining the mall, bringing fresh choice and energy for shoppers. Brands such as Trespass, Fonehouse, Totally Wicked, and Footasylum have all chosen Wellington Square as the location for their latest stores.
Stockton BID:
At the heart of Stockton’s town centre offer is Stockton BID, which works directly with businesses and partners to promote the town and attract more visitors.

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council - Town Centre Management and Town Centre Development Teams:
Working alongside both the BID and Wellington Square is the Stockton Town Centre Management team, made up of Richard Beddard and Lewis Clark and Stockton Town Centre Development Team represented by Marc Bould and Sara Fellows. Together, they provide business engagement, project updates and co-ordinate the Council’s operational functions across Stockton Town Centre and the Borough’s outdoor markets.
